A doctor’s assistant meets a girl and her teenage brother, who defiantly responds to any exhortation from adults. The doctor’s assistant puts the bratty boss in his place by adopting his demeanor.

Hardy’s young assistant goes on an evening call. The client is not at home and the young man meets her daughter and teenage son.

The client asks the doctor for some kind of influence over the boy, but the boy responds to all the assistant’s exhortations: «Well, what are you going to do?» Despite his impertinence, Hardy likes the teenager.

The assistant goes to the next client. He is threatened by her husband, but Hardy is saved by the teenager hiding in his car. The doctor’s assistant thanks the boy and takes him home.

Arriving at the office in the morning, Hardy refuses to do all the work for the doctor.

He responds to all the exhortations and threats from his supervisor with the boy’s question. Hardy quits his job and leaves to go out with the teenager’s sister.
