In 1896, the Russian tsar visits France for the first time since the assassination attempt on his grandfather. Alexander II managed to survive that time. Nicholas II describes his trip in detail. Shortly before their visit to Paris, the royal couple arrived at the Khodynskoe Field, from which the corpses were being removed. Earlier, gifts had been distributed there, and many people died in the crush. The people thought that the tsar’s reign had begun with a bloody omen.

In Versailles, the couple visited the Place de la Concorde, where the church of St. Magdalene was visible. There was a cemetery near the church where the victims of the fireworks launched at the wedding of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette were buried. At that time it was also perceived as a bad omen. After a while, the story that happened to the rulers of France would repeat itself with the Russian tsar.

Nicholas II was born on the day of Job the Suffering and was convinced that he had a tragic destiny ahead of him. He learned that 20 years before the revolution a certain Kazoth had spoken a prophecy. The philosopher suddenly saw the execution of the people present with him that evening.
