A hero named Paulo takes a rite to become a magician and embarks on a long journey along the Way of Santiago, beginning in the French town of Saint-Jean-Pierre-de-Pore and ending in the Spanish city of Santiago de Compostela. The hero sets out on a journey to find his Sword — ancient wisdom.

On the Way he is helped by his guide-mentor Petru. However, the protagonist faces not only the search for the Sword, but also with himself. All along the way, the guide teaches Paulo various wisdoms and exercises that allow the hero to improve himself, develop and reveal himself from the spiritual side. All of the exercises are described in detail in the book.

On the way the hero will meet mysterious mentors and opponents, get acquainted with a personal demon, learn about the only danger awaiting man, learn to see the hidden meaning in ordinary things. Constant spiritual growth, the pursuit of the Goal, help Paulo defeat the Demon, and, finally, reach his goal.
