An illiterate black man, Azuma-Z was assigned to mechanic Hoylord as an assistant. He abused and beat his subordinate. At the same time, he did not give up hope of Christianizing Azuma-Zee. One day the mechanic said that the dynamo he serviced was stronger than the native’s pagan gods, for it could kill a man.

Azuma-Zee changed the idol. He decided that the dynamo was the god. He began beating bows before the turbine and begging to be spared the beating of his superior.

During a short circuit, the black man saw Hoylord struck by a light electric shock. «My God is patient, he warns Hoylord,» he thought.

Gradually the thought of sacrifice crept into the native’s mind. He seized a moment and pushed the mechanic under the blades. Everyone thought suicide or an accident. Hoylord was replaced by an engineer.

But Azuma-Z decided that the Dynamo God wanted more to eat. He attacked the engineer, but he escaped.

Azuma-Z grabbed the bare wires with his hands and died. The cult was short-lived, but it had its own martyr.
