The protagonist finds himself in a sullen and bleak city. He manages to find a bus. It gathers those who want to go on an excursion to some place. After a while it turns out that it is the foothills of paradise.

Once on the bus, the hero talks to the other passengers. After they all arrive at their destination, the people are transformed into ghosts. The place they arrived at is very beautiful. Every detail of nature here is very hard compared to them. This makes it painful for the passengers to walk on the grass. Even a small leaf from a tree turns out to be so heavy that the ghosts can barely lift it.

Shining figures approach the bus passengers. They turn out to be people the ghosts knew when they were alive. Those who have come persuade the others to repent and enter heaven. As they ascend higher, the ghosts become more solid and the discomfort they feel disappears. The figures help the ghosts reach the top of the mountains to see the sunrise.
