A great tragedy has occurred in the life of the Russian people. It is only at first glance it seems that the revolution was spontaneous. In fact, the process of decomposition of spirituality was launched much earlier. It is religion and faith that underlies the morality of the people, dictates the rules of its behavior, postulates and rules. Only the worship of the one God makes a person truly free. Ever since autocracy proclaimed itself to be the will of the Creator, the church has been enslaved.

Revolutions in the destiny of the people are inevitable. They suggest that there have been many evils and wrongs in the past that have accumulated and want to come out. Revolutions are driven by the rotten ideas of the old system. The voice of the Church to the people is not heard there.

The free church speaks to the people on behalf of God. But not under tsarist Russia, not after the revolution, her freedom was only a formality. The Russian church ceased to be free after the state began to completely control all spheres of people’s lives.
