Mom went away to buy a dacha, and left her youngest daughter, five years old, with her eldest son, Yura, who is eleven. Some pioneer friends came to see him. The boy told his little sister to sleep until lunchtime, until the housekeeper Arina arrived.

But the girl slowly leaves home. She goes first to kindergarten, then a lonely man brings her to his home. The landlady wonders who it is. But he says it is his daughter.

Then the girl runs away from him and is taken to the cottage by her husband. But she runs away from them, too, giving flowers to athletes. In the end, the policeman brings the girl to her house.
