The scientist Keyvor and his neighbor Bedford were poisoned on the moon. There they discovered a Selenite civilization. Bedford manages to escape to Earth. Keyvor talks on the radio about the Selenites, but the connection is cut off.

Bedford, a businessman, befriended his neighbor, the scientist Keyvor. The physicist invented the substance keavorite, which is able to overcome gravity. Keyvor builds a flying machine. Together with Bedford, he lands on the moon.

As day breaks, the surface of the Earth’s satellite is transformed — a marvelous flora grows from the soil. People taste the fruit and fall into euphoria. In this state they were taken captive by the natives, the Selenites.

The inhabitants of the moon lived in caves. They had a civilization with a division of labor. The people decided to escape. They are pursued by the Selenites. Bedford managed to get to a ship and fly to earth. Cavor is captured again.

The boy climbed into the ship and was dragged into Space. That is why Bedford cannot come to his friend’s aid. He contacts him by radio.

Keyvor meets with the Selenite ruler Great Lunarius and tells him about the Earthlings. After that, the head of the Lunar inhabitants decided to stop communicating with the bloodthirsty and vicious humans. Communication with Cavor was lost.
