Frodo inherits the Ring of All Power. Sauron learns of this and sends the Nazgûl to kill Frodo. But Frodo and his comrades make it to Rivendell. There a coalition is formed against Sauron.

The first part of the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Frodo the Hobbit has inherited from his uncle Bilbo the Ring of Omnipotence, which allows him to become invisible. But this ring gradually subdues the will of its wearer. Once it belonged to Sauron. If he gets hold of the ring again, he will destroy all Middle-earth.

Sauron learns that Frodo has the Ring. He sends the Nazguls (knights of the dead) to kill Frodo. The wizard Gandalf warns Frodo and convinces him to take the Ring to the Council of Middle-earth. Along with Frodo go 3 hobbits: Sam, Merry and Pippin.

They are rescued from the Nazgûl by the brave knight Aragorn. But Frodo is wounded. He is taken to Rivendell by the elfess Arwen.

Frodo attends the Council of all the peoples of Middle-earth. The only way to oppose Sauron is to destroy the Ring of Omnipotence. It must be thrown into the bowels of the fiery mountain of Orodruen, and Frodo must take it there.

Along with the hobbits journey continues wizard Gandalf, elf Legolas, dwarf Gimli and humans Aragorn and Boromir. They form the Fellowship of the Ring.
