Dr. Emony decided to buy a gift for his niece’s birthday. In the shop he saw a wonderful rag doll.

He could not forget the unusual toy. The doctor learned that Rosa Yazvit made them. When he saw the woman, he was disappointed, so vulgar was she.

One day Rosa called the doctor, asking to see her sick sister. Upon arriving at Yazwit’s house, Emony saw the sickly, frail girl who was Rosa’s sister, Mary. She was the real maker of the dolls.

The girl had once been in an accident and had been maimed. She could be cured, but Rosa hid it so that Mary would make money for her.

Emony falls in love with the girl. He takes Mary out of Rosa’s house and marries her. The girl recovers. The couple is happy, raising a baby boy and expecting a baby again. Mary no longer sews dolls, for she now has children.
