Silly Augustine lived with her husband, Silly August, 3 children, a cat, a dog and a parrot in a carriage house behind the circus marquee. She dreamed of becoming an entertainer and performing, but was forced to do only household chores. The woman’s husband worked in a circus.

One day Augustine’s husband had a toothache and went to the dentist. The foolish Augustus sat in line for over three hours, after which the doctor took him in and pulled the diseased tooth.

Angered by the artist’s absence, the director yells at Augustine that the audience will get angry and demand their money back. The heroine decides to replace her husband in the show. She quickly changes clothes in the carriage house and then enters the arena.

Augustine’s performance delights the audience, the director, and Augustus, who came in. Her husband then suggests that she do all the work together and perform in the circus together, saying that she is too good for cleaning and laundry.
