Mowgli was living a quiet life in the jungle, but one day a stranger appeared at the council rock. The wolf was badly wounded and reported that a huge pack of wild red dogs was coming, destroying everyone in its path.

The jungle is terrified. Even the brave Akella prepares for one last hunt and advises Mowgli to flee. The boy goes to the wise Kaa for advice. The python shows him a ravine on the river where the Little Rock People live, who kill anyone who disturbs their peace. And Kaa also tells the story of how the deer escaped by jumping off those rocks and the wolves chasing them died.

Mowgli springs into action. He meets wild dogs, taunts the leader, and even cuts off his tail. The leader gets furious and the whole pack rushes after the cheeky boy. The boy runs to the Little People’s dwelling and jumps from the rocks into the water. Huge black bees pounce on the pursuing dogs. Many of the dogs are killed by their stings, and the survivors are met on the shore by wolves. A terrible battle ensues and Akella dies on his last hunt.
