Tommy gets a letter from Grandma. Peppy wanted a letter too, so she wrote herself a letter. The heroine made a lot of mistakes, so the boys began to talk her into going to school. They told her about the excursion in the woods, and Pippi did agree to go to school.

The children play during the excursion. In the evening everyone goes to visit a girl who lived near the forest. On the way, brave Pippi intercedes for a horse that has been beaten by an evil farmer.

The heroine, dressed as a real lady, goes with her friends to the annual fair. She amazes the shooting gallery owner with her marksmanship, rides with her pals on the merry-go-round, and watches a performance in the circus.

Peppi is visited by her father. He invites his daughter to go with him, but she does not want to leave her friends. As parting, her father leaves Peppi a bag of coins and promises to visit her often. The girl accepts his decision. She and her friends return to her villa, where she tells them an interesting new story.
