Dante, after visiting Hell and Purgatory, went to Earth’s Paradise. The latter was housed in the depths of a flowering grove. There he met his beloved Beatrice, after which he lost consciousness.

The Italian poet, having visited Hell and Purgatory, decides to go to Earthly Paradise. Upon his arrival there, Dante noticed that Paradise was deep within a blooming grove. He soon saw a beautiful girl picking flowers while singing a beautiful song. She told the Italian poet that there had once been a golden age in this place, but at one moment all happiness was destroyed by the commission of a terrible sin.

Through the territory of Paradise walked, leisurely, the elders, who wore white robes and wreaths on their heads. Around them swirled young girls who portrayed a dance. Among them was Dante’s beloved Beatrice. When he saw his beloved, Dante lost consciousness.

When he came to, he found himself submerged in the river, Lethe. This water object removed all sins from a person. After that, the Italian poet washed his own body in the river Envoi. The waters of the latter were capable of strengthening the good in human memory.
