A novel about the adventures of space hero Ion Pacific, who makes a journey to the distant planet of Entia. The purpose of the expedition is to study the local Enzian civilization.

Upon arriving at the place, Tycho checks the information about the planet obtained on Earth. The main character learns about the history of Entia from the beginning of time to the present day. Two main states existed here: Lusania and Kurdlandia.

Kurdland had a «national mobility» ideology. According to it, all inhabitants had to live inside giant animals — curdles, which were ruled by «drivers». For one day a year the inhabitants were allowed to leave the kurdle.

Unlike Kurdland, Lusania was characterized by high technology. Some privileged citizens of Kurdland could go here to work and study. This is where Tychy spends most of his time, exploring the new world. In Lusania, there are nanorobots — Shusters, providing residents with the highest level of comfort and safety.
