The famous painter Symonds Kendle was old and ill. The man’s son constantly claimed his work. One day Symonds got fed up with it and packed his drawings and paintings into large suitcases. The artist went with them to a friend living in another city.

On the way, the man felt ill. As a result, he lost his memory and found himself alone in a small hotel at the station. The local doctor recognizes him and informs his son of his illness. Reporters, relatives, doctors and businessmen come to the inn. Each of them wants to know the fate of Kendle’s paintings.

After the hero comes to his senses, he begins to remember that he sent his artwork to his buddy, Reuben Holmes. He probably got on the wrong train after that. Soon it turns out that his friend had died three months earlier. Symonds decides to ask his beloved granddaughter Felicity for help.
