The bulk of the characters are «walking misunderstandings» who constantly get involved in some ridiculous stories. The author shows the personalities of the characters as if exaggerating and deliberately flaunting not the most attractive aspects of the character. Some of them are funny and unusual, while others are nasty and disgusting.

The author is not overtly negative about the characters. Rather the opposite — shows their souls with sympathy, tenderness and notes of irony. The entire book is saturated with black humor. Starting out funny and casual, many silly situations end in tragedy.
