A woman ended up in a psychiatric hospital because of a hobby for mirrors. She claims that her reflection pulled her into the looking glass.

The heroine has had a special interest in mirrors since childhood. It seemed to her that there she sees different women ghosts. With some she befriended, others she feared.

One day at an auction, she noticed an antique holdall. It seemed to her that the woman in the reflection was stronger than herself, throwing down a challenge and wanting to switch places.

Once the heroine got too close to the mirror. Mesmerized by her rival, she stretched out her arms and found herself on the other side of the mirror. Now all she had to do was watch the other one live her life.

Miraculously, she managed to escape the looking glass. The heroine ordered to throw out the mirror and in a fit of fever told all her relatives what had happened to her. So the narrator ended up in a mental hospital. But there are still moments when it seems that the real her was left on the other side of the mirror.
