It was dark outside, but this did not frighten the man. He decided he could handle the new car. However, on the way, his brakes failed. There was a serious accident; the car crashed into the garage gate of his house.

The man woke up in the bushes, not far from the car. He saw people helping Perkins. He tried to call out to them, but they didn’t hear him.

Next to him he saw a friend from his college days who had died when he was young. The young man was smiling. The man shouted to his buddy in horror that he was dead. With the same smile, the friend replied to the man that he, too, was dead.
