The girl Emma Brown has been forced to survive under the open skies of London for years, with no roof under her head. And in order not to die, the Englishwoman is forced to work long and hard to get the amount of money that will be enough to buy food.

Adding to her poor social situation is another problem: amnesia. Emma does not remember any events that happened to her in the distant past. Including the girl does not remember her parents.

However, the British girl wants to find her mother and she is determined. Wandering through the streets of London, the girl bumps into Jenny Dru, who is also unlucky to be without a home and means of subsistence. Joining forces, the two poor girls begin to look for a place to spend the night. Wandering around London, the British girls stumble upon Hyde Park, where the World’s Fair is held.

Peering into the paintings, Emma recognizes in the portraits her own facial outlines with a wanted signature.
