When Don Juan was young, a dispute broke out between the angels and Satan over his soul. Don Juan sought love, and Satan tested him every time.

After ten years, he turned into a man tired of his passions. He used to believe in love, but then became disillusioned with women, and indeed with God. He becomes a skeptic, no longer believes in ideals and goodness, and enjoys seducing beautiful women.

When Don Giovanni meets Donna Anna, the widow of the commodore, he at first believes that he is led to her only by lust. He seduces the pious Donna by dressing as a monk. But it turns out to be a real feeling.

The wedding is near, but Don Giovanni convinces himself that it was only an affair and ruins everything. He loses his beloved, only to realize that it was love.

Satan sends a statue of the Commendatore to cast Don Giovanni into Hell. But the forces of good prevent this. Don Giovanni finds faith and repents in a monastery. But he does not take the monastic vows to be buried not in the monastery cemetery, but next to Donna Anna.
