Misty discovers that her father-in-law and other islanders are involved in a conspiracy that is repeated every 100 years. Its purpose is to drive tourists and visiting rich people off the island.

Her mother-in-law and husband prepare an exhibition of her paintings. The woman’s daughter, who was actually alive, sets a fire. As a result, the islanders receive a huge sum of insurance, on which they can live for another 3 generations, until a new artist is found.
