After a battle, a Danish soldier held out a bottle of beer to a wounded enemy, but the enemy shot him. The Dane then drank half the bottle and said to his enemy, «Rascal, now you’ll only get half!»

A boy comes to the church at midnight to scrape the rust off the bell and thereby heal his sick mother.

The young man persuades the girl to kiss him through the window by placing a bet. With the money he wins, he goes away, makes a career, and then marries the girl.

God erects a snow bank around the house of the people reading the psalm. All the other houses have been burned and looted by the enemy.

The noble woman asks God to grant her life as long as the church built with her money stands. Her wish was granted.

Some of the fallen angels have become goblins and trolls. Their daughters can even marry humans. And if you maintain a friendship with them, they can even gift their friends with gold.
