An unfinished poem by Radishchev, originally part of Travels from St. Petersburg to Moscow, but later excluded by the author due to censorship concerns. It contains an interpretation of motifs of a religious and philosophical nature, which does not coincide with official church dogma.

The original seeds rested in silence. They were alien to the action and excitement of life. God was one everywhere and «foreknew,» omnipotent and infinite. One day he created the world.

To his firstborn he gives his sovereignty and power forever, concludes in him his love. He must fulfill the divine vows and wise councils and manifest the deity with his creation. Thanks to him, God will be glorified and delivered from inactivity, because the firstborn will manifest what he could.
