Cleopatra, the ruler of ancient Egypt, slept between the paws of the sphinx, while Caesar wandered lonely in the desert and, bumping into the guard of the pyramids, began a monologue on philosophical topics. The foreigner’s voice awakened the girl. After waking up, she began to answer Caesar’s words, but he did not see her immediately and at first believed that the sphinx was talking to him in his maiden voice.

After Cleopatra’s appearance, the main character fell into a slight shock — he refused to believe that the real representative of the fair sex was in front of him. The noble Egyptian did not recognize the Roman emperor and, considering him a nice interlocutor, told him about her fears of foreign conquerors. Caesar tells the protagonist that she must find the strength to face the Romans.

Later, the leader of the Roman empire reveals his identity.
