Clerk of the detective department Erast Fandorin is involved in the investigation of a mysterious suicide. Pyotr Kokorin, a successful young man from a wealthy family, commits suicide in a city park.

Fandorin enters Peter’s social circle. New acquaintances are not simple. All of them are united by some secret, and it is deathly dangerous to approach it.
