From a drop of Uranus’ blood, the goddess Gaia gave birth to giants of enormous power. The giants were proud of their power. At some point they decided to dethrone the light gods of Olympus in order to rule the world on their own.

The gods were unable to cope with the monsters. Gaia gave her creatures a potion that made them invulnerable to the gods’ weapons. Then Zeus, the thunderer, ordered his beloved daughter Athena to find Heracles. Only by the hand of a mortal could the terrifying creatures die.

Athena-Pallada carried out her father’s order and brought Heracles. Together with him the gods entered the battle with the giants. Zeus, Hera, Dionysus, Apollo, Poseidon and Athena began to crush the giants with their surroundings. But each of them died only by the arrow of Heracles, impregnated with the poison of the Lernaean Hydra.

The battle went on for a long time until all the monstrous creatures of Gaia were defeated. The light gods succeeded in defending Olympus and their power that day thanks to the mortal son of Zeus.
