After a while they met the king of beasts, who did not show aggression towards people, but only groaned pitifully. The protagonist realized that the paw of the aforementioned animal was pierced by a splinter of impressive size, and the lion was unable to get the last one out on his own.

The man decides to help the king of beasts. So that the lion does not worry, Androcles pays the animal affectionate compliments. As a result, the Christian Roman removes the unfortunate splinter, and the wounded representative of the fauna expresses his gratitude to the man.
