The journalist came to Twain for an interview. Twain did not know this new word. The journalist said it did not do credit to his mental faculties. He explained what an interview was.

When asked how old he was, Twain answered 19. And the year of birth he indicated 1693, and he began to engage in literature in 1836. The baffled journalist decided to move on to the family of the interviewee.

Twain said he had a brother, but he could not say whether he died or not, although he was buried. He said he was a twin. When the boys were 14 days old, one of them drowned in the bathtub. But whether it was Mark or Billy, Twain hesitates to say.

The interviewee thought Aaron Burr was the most remarkable person. The author met him at his funeral. When the coffin had already been placed on the hearse, Burr said he wanted one last look at the ceremony, so he sat down next to the coachman on the hearse’s goats.

The journalist escaped.
