Gwenda Guildford received a letter from her uncle. It was encrypted, but the girl knew the code. In the letter, her uncle wrote that he had been arrested and asked for police help. But Gwenda went to a psychiatrist first.

Dr. Eversham knew Oscar Trevors well, for he had once treated him for a nervous breakdown. After a while, Trevors disappeared and sent attorneys instructions to transfer money from his London account to other banks around the world. Eversham said he thought Gwenda’s uncle was crazy because he called himself heir to the King of Bonginda.

Soon Gwenda began to be pursued by an unknown man in a green car. The girl turns to lawyer Bill Joyner for help. He is assisted in his investigations by Selby Lowe.

As it turned out, the monster who accused Gwenda of treason against the King of Bonginda was a maniac. It was a gang that received checks from Oscar Trevors. And the ringleader was… the therapist Eversham.
